Flower Soft is a fabulous enhancement for flowers, greenery and moss.
The product is a collection of tiny curly pieces that, when applied to a
surface, results in a floral or greenery textured look. Available in mixed jars
or solid colors, it is the new "finishing touch" for Paper Tole. The perfect enhancement
for flowers and landscaping. It opens new doors to excellence and creativity in
the art of Paper Tole and card making. Further uses include the flowers, grass
and greenery for doll house decoration, model train landscaping, egg decoration,
and that is just for starters!
Mainly used for card making, there are a range of pre-colored card faces,
toppers, pots to cut out, Greetings to embellish, all designed to be used as a
base for your Flower Soft.
The application is absolutely simple:
- Firstly, transfer the contents of the small jar to a larger container and
thin the Flower Soft with your fingers. The pots are densely packed and by
transferring to a larger container, you can sprinkle a little Flower Soft
right out of the container onto your glue and tap the excess back into your
container.
- Have a sheet of paper under your work so you can put any loose Flower Soft
back into the container.
- Apply a few small dabs of tacky white glue to your project, sprinkle with Flower Soft
and tap off the excess. If you need denser coverage, as in filling a container
or pot that does not have decorative printing or stamping behind it, pat down
for a thick application, do not pat down for a lighter look. That is all there
is to it.
- Have a spare container so you can tip all the bits of mixed colors of the
Flower Soft into it and create your own mix and NOT contaminate the individual
colors.
- Use a very light touch of glue dabs and apply the Flower Soft sparingly as
an enhancement, allowing the basic floral design to show through. The object
is to enhance, not to obliterate the original design.
- Flower stems for bouquets. Cut short pieces of the cloth covered wire,
drizzle with the PVA glue where you want the flower soft, sprinkle the Flower
Soft over the wire and press into place. Stick the wire into the foam from the
Kits or into Styrofoam so they can dry. Cut thin fine pieces of green
cardstock or paper to add to your bouquets as fronds. Create your own tussy
mussy bouquet holder by taking a piece of colored tissue about 2" square, fold
in half, roll into a cone shape, trim the side and glue in place. Glue
onto your card and when you place the bouquet in it, glue the wire stems
together at the bottom and place them all together into the bouquet holder.
Add fronds.
- Keep checking the Card Gallery for new design ideas and how to use the
ribbons, laces, etc. to decorate your cards.
