3D Cards presented in this section offer a range of options for creating 3-dimensional or layered images suitable for layering onto a card. These are a simplistic version of the art we know as Paper Tole.
In card making, the different layers are all printed on one sheet of paper,
We recommend the extensive line of 3D cardmaking prints now available
which offers images ready to punch out. There is a number beside each image
which denotes the order in which to mount the print. There
are usually 2 - 3 projects per sheet so they are also good
value.
To create the 3D projects, use small foam squares to
achieve height between the layers, You will only actually need card stock and the foam squares to complete those projects.
However, in some of the projects with very small detail
pieces you will find it easier to use a small amount of
Pergakit on a toothpick to mount those small pieces. This
finishing technique will result in a project that is not
too high to mail and is not distorted with those small
finishing pieces being too high. We recommend mounting the
first layer flat on your card and mounting the next 2
layers with the foam mounting squares. After that, we
usually use the Pergakit glue but decide upon that
technique relative to the size of the cut-outs you are
mounting. |
