The absolute best ink pad for coloring. Use a #2 stencil brush and apply color directly from the ink pad to the image with the stencil in place using a circular motion. You will note the four color groupings have a light, medium and dark value which makes shading possible with this ink pad over any other ink pad on the market. Illustrated in the New Dimensions in Cardmaking Book on sale here with month.
Just use a small amount and mix with your translucent or opaque paste using your spatula on a CD you will not be using. The translucent paste will result in a high gloss finish enhancing and brightening the color. Mixed with the opaque paste, it will have a matte finish and the color will be much softer since it has been mixed with a white base.
Brass Embossing with paste has come a long way. The paste is now available in translucent (clear), opaque (white), metallic silver and gold and the newest addition to the line, metallic copper. The coloring options for the translucent are the most versatile. You can either mix product (like Pearlex Powder or the acrylic tube colors) with the translucent paste or apply coloring like chalks or Splendor Ink to the image area before the paste is applied. The opaque is either mixed with the paste or the surface is colored after the paste has dried. The metallic pastes are best partially enhanced with fine glitter over a liquid glue pen in select areas after the paste has dried. The newer options include adding foil or Pearlex powders. These are applied after the paste has dried by using a dauber and applying the Palette stamp and stick Gluepad on the dried surface of the metallic paste. The instructions for the new cards shown below will expand on these options.
