Interesting Sites
Just for the fun of it - and perhaps a little education, follow Angela to her special places, when she has time to "surf" (Obviously not very often when you see how few sites there are).
  • Dining in Toronto, love Italian food, want to dine where the best ever is offered?  Head to Yorkville (Bloor at University area) and enjoy Vaticano Restaurant at 25 Bellair Street. Hosted by Chef and owner FeliceVacca. Fabulous food. Be sure to check out the menus and call ahead. Everything is fresh, cooked just for you. Let me know how you like it - Angela.  Rave comments on the food and you will no doubt meet the Chef who obviously loves to cook but only with quality ingredients. Their homemade Tiramisu is divine. Best I have ever had so make that a must-try.

  • Dining in Toronto? If you are up Yonge Street near the 401, quaint quality stores and neat restaurants.  I don't recommend unless I have eaten there - and would definitely go back. Try this Italian restaurant, Piazzetta Trattoria, 3441 Yonge - phone 416-440-1777. Small cozy dining area, open wood hearth  and wonderful Manicotti on the menu, baked in the wood oven.  Had to leave before dessert BUT they do make their own Tiramisu dessert, always a must to try in an Italian Restaurant, and homemade.

    • 970 Upper James Street Hamilton, Hamilton.

Great little spot. Cozy, friendly atmosphere. Food is made from scratch and tasty. What is especially nice is they offer home made gluten free pasta. The restaurant is quite small and easy to drive by, set back on the end in a strip plaza  Don't let the exterior fool you, go in to one of Hamilton's hidden treasures.  Be prepared to wait, after all, the meals are fresh and cooked to order. Absolutely reserve ahead.

  • Affordable Petable in Los Angeles. Unique products for your unique pet. Angela and Jane visited their Shopping Cart in LA next to the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood. Danny was fabulous, the products first class, well made, absolute value. A classy Lakers Sports Jacket was purchased for our own Carter complete with leather sleeves, pocket liners, snap front, and a first quality embroidered Lakers' emblem on the back. Highly recommended.

  • Find Flowers UK
Staying in England for another visit - this web site is outstanding for options to send flowers plus in Great Britain. With the cost of postage these days, this site is a must-see if you send gifts to friends or relatives in Great Britain. This site is a brilliant answer. It is often a problem of knowing where to search for a reliable source for gift-giving. This is the answer to sending flowers and other gifts - check out methods of sending champagne, wine, whiskey, etc via Champagne and Flowers.

  • The Art Institute of Chicago
We visit this Art Gallery every year when we attend the CHA Trade Show for the Arts and Crafts in Chicago. We never tire of it, and you might remember this famous American painting. The artist, Grant Wood, was inspired by the Shaker style house and wanted to capture it in artwork circa. 1930. To set it off, he used his sister and his dentist standing in front. This image may now be familiar to you having been copied for cereal (Kellogg) advertising a few years ago.

  • The Louvre
For the Artist within us, who can resist visiting this website.

Interesting site giving an insight into lovely buildings and views throughout LA. and the surrounding area. I found them very interesting since I visited this area early in 2003 - and missed a few important places to visit I now see. Very interesting site that will take you to many interesting places. Highly recommend this viewing for anyone who loves to travel or just see where to go. Keep going into the web site and you can visit countries around the world - including some great shots of Toronto.

  • Interesting perhaps, but a lesson in appalling service from a Travel Agent in Canada : A don't go there moment!
When our large group attended my son's wedding in Mexico, we used Durham Travel in Courtice, Ontario, Canada. A large group booked through this agent. A group of 3 ladies found themselves in a  position that they needed to share accommodation. The travel agent, Sarah Wood, was clearly advised that for specific reasons 3 separate beds or sleeping accommodation was essential. We were advised there would be a paltry $50.00 per person reduction due to sharing the room. The outcome? The agent made no attempt to request the appropriate sleeping arrangements since one lady slept on the cold marble floor the first night with absolutely no supplies from the hotel. No request had been made or she would have known there were no roll-away cots available. They were moved the next day and paid a rack rate upgrade.
The travel agent also reneged on making any small adjustment for 3 in a room with such excuses as it was too late, there had been additional work involved, which had nothing to do with the fact it was a quoted rebate and very small and totally due the 3 ladies.
