Introducing our Judge - here comes the Judge - looking a
little wary before she gives the verdict! Maureen Steuart
is a celebrated local artist and often presents her art in
area Art Gallery Shows. This week until May 23rd Maureen is
exhibiting a collection of stencil prints at the Dundas
Valley School of Art here in Dundas.
Our sincere thanks to Maureen who not only examined each and
every bra individually but wrote a critique to each entrant.
A very thorough judging.

In the top Five.
This bra was created by Bev Burnison and was voted the
must-take on a Hawaiian vacation, and wear it.To quote
our Judge: Well, this is a sweet bra and the more I looked
at it the more I saw. Firstly, it has nipples! Lovely
heart-shaped nipples with a bauble on top. Lovely hanging
baubles between the cups looked so old fashioned. The straps
have been lovingly hand stitched and covered with pink
flowers, again with baubles in the centers of each flower.
An interesting bra - mixing old and new and finishing with
an appliqué of a butterfly. |

Third in the top five:
This bra was created by Heather Haw and voted a "would
wear-it" fashion statement for overall best sexy design with
a hint of ... (check out the miniature chains). To quote
our judge: I love the fringe. I think this is a very sexy
bra. The beautiful stamping (stamp from Melissa Frances). I
love the silver-like chains. I think the flowers were made
of paper from Melissa Frances. The pink sequins around the
top of the cups is seemingly sewn on. I can't sew on a
button so I am really impressed by such neat sewing. The
little velvet bow between the cups is just sweet. |

In the top Five:
This bra was created by Karen Wilson and voted the most
creative Tropical Fantasy. To quote our Judge: This is the
most innovative bra, being a coconut bra that might have
been worn in South Pacific. The coconuts are much more
secure than they look. They are covered in diamond-like
sequins, little paper punch-outs, and for Easter, little
yellow chics. Flowers are predominant in the decorations.
This piece is very well made for a coconut bra. The hanging
beads, bells and Cancer logos are just great and goes with
the complete picture. |

Our first Runner Up:
This bra was created by Pat Mongiat and was voted the "Great
Crafty Bra".To quote our Judge: What a refreshing bra.
To be worn under a Victorian Gown. Just look at it, Iris
Folding paper under the cups with pale pink satin ribbon
accenting. The cup is divided into two parts divided by the
pink ribbon. The top part of the cups is paper embossed with
a flower design and then around the top of the cups, punched
paper accenting then little rosebuds and more darling pink
satin ribbons and on the straps, pink ribbon and punched
paper. Wonderful bra. |

Our Judge is examining Pat's bra as she explains the details of the
crafting that went in to create the bra. |

Our Winner.
This bra was created by Pat Smith and voted Pink Perfection
because it was so beautifully made.
To quote our Judge: Very feminine - displays many crafts I
can't do at all. I love the color pink, the rouching on the
straps and something funky in the buttons. Oh my goodness,
the sparkles on the bra, the beadwork on the cups is
outstanding as well as the flowers made partially with
Melissa Frances' scrap book paper. The extra touch of the
beadwork hanging down. This is a bra that would cheer anyone
up. The harmony of the pinks would make anyone glad they are
a woman. #1. |

Presentations are over.
