Description: Firstly, we inked the wagon using Memories Chestnut Brown, stamped it off once on scrap paper to diffuse the density of the ink, then stamped it on our watercolor paper. This results in a lighter image that will not overpower the watercoloring.
Using Marvy Markers, applying the color to the stamp from the side of the brush marker, not the tip, we colored the various stamps.
Start with the larger flower image to create the focal area, apply the marker, "huff" on the stamp, your moist breath will actually reactivate the ink, which dries quite quickly on the stamp surface, then stamp. We usually stamp the original image then stamp a second impression for a faded background look. We did not use any of the other flowers in the set.
Finally, apply the leaves. You will notice the side of the wood will have a dark line. This indicates where the stem is to be placed. This guide is usually not relevant with the flowers, but it is absolutely essential when placing the leaves. It permits you to place the leaves so they flow from the correct point. We only used the fern and stamped and stamped again for background.
The finished watercolor was mounted on a background punched with a corner punch to set the work in place. Then mount the completed presentation in a card or frame it. Every one will be different.
On a final note, we only worked with blue flowers. This was because we worked on soft blue paper and did not want a busy look. It is not necessary to use every marker color you own when working in a small space.
