We would again like to thank Colleen Kenney for this contribution to our Gallery. Colleen has truly found her niche with Iris Folding and her projects are elegant, beautiful color composition and multi-purpose.
The outstanding features of her card her:
- Colleen cuts her own openings, this one is a square with rounded corners
- She sets it off by embossing around the cut-out which tends to frame it and contain it
- She outlines the edge of the card and the edge of the cut-out with our 18ct metallic gold leafing pen. She also edges the folded edge of the papers.
- This is a simple design and the pattern is obvious to the eye. However, it is every bit as interesting and perhaps more elegant than the traditional iris folding patterning
- The wonderful colored strips are actually Japanese paper with mini buttons attached to the center strips. The alternate paper is ordinary brown paper edged with our gold metallic pen. Perfect.
- Use of buttons in a complementary fashion to the rest of the card
