Here we are, down to the wire to take down our web site that we have operated for well over 12 years now.  We are still looking for the date we first had a presence on the web, I swear I go back to DOS.  I even remember “booting up” the computer when I first started.  Now it is time to move into another phase of our lives. We have retired, to a new exciting future. Staying in touch with all of you, it doesn’t get any better. Still designing cards, making videos,offering Retreats, opening a B & B with travel tour options, still working with products -- I have always said, with all the creative products at our fingertips, the inks, pencils, markers, papers, watercolors, paste, and on and on, cardmakers truly are “artists” in their own right. You have your own style, your own favorite products to work with -- again, it does not get any better.  You give your time and talents to share with your friends and family.

Ordering Products

We decided to upgrade the new web site to include on-line shopping for North American customers only. Minimum order of $25.00 plus flat shipping cost of $10.00. This is the delay in getting the new design in place. There is the selection of discounted products, Best Of products that represent neat kits and regular items you have been purchasing from us repeatedly, making it easy for you to find.  We do have a special section for the 3D die cut images which are the most popular products we have carried, the Embossing Folders and Die Cuts suitable for the Cuttlebug. We accept PayPal, Visa and Mastercard on-line and charge a flat shipping rate of $10.00.

If you don’t see what you want, perhaps we no longer carry it or perhaps we have not yet added it. By all means, ask by sending e-mail to angela@creativepapercrafts.com.

For our local customers who will be picking up their orders, we will reflect a 10% discount off the regular product prices. There is no minimum order amount. You can contact us by e-mail to order products or enquire about them.

Christmas IS in the eyes of a child

Angela’s Wednesday students in Paper Tole Classes enjoy a Christmas Brunch at the local Ancaster Old Mill. Absolutely lovely venue beside a cascading waterfall which at one time powered the grist mill, which was the origin of creating this lovely dining location.  Our youngest son, Kyle, was married here.

Unfortunately, our Jo (Baldwin) was not able to join our Christmas get-together this year due to ill health and she was so missed.  Jo has always been the go-to person in the class, go to her for anything you need, she has it.  Carter (our granddog) always went to Jo for the treat he knew she had for him -- diving into her bag himself if she was too slow! So, here is Jo with our granddaughter when she was less than 3 weeks old.

We have enjoyed so many wonderful customers over the years.

Perhaps you remember that wonder baby card with the knitted miniature sweater from Kay Kubota?  Well, at Christmas she knitted Makenna this wonderful special Christmas Hat and here she is wearing it on Christmas Eve.  Thank you so much Kay.

GREETINGS from www.creativepapercrafts.com, Angelas Papercrafts, both under the umbrella of Angela’s Craft Centre Ltd. In business for 34 years in the lovely town of Dundas, Ontario, Canada.

This will be our LAST Christmas operating a full service website with shopping cart service. We will have many changes in the New Year with our shopping cart service closing down by the end of January. There will be a brand new web design taking its place and you will still be able to contact us through our web site.

This Blog is sent out to you all at this time of the year not for commerce, but as a personal, simple message to you all.

Hold your loved ones near, be kind to each other, reach out to friends and neighbours. Be charitable. Celebrate the holidays at this time of year according to your customs and traditions, respecting others. I personally wish you the peace and joy I think we would all like to be part of our lives. For some, this may not be possible due to ill health or other financial or personal issues, to those of you, rest assured someone somewhere is thinking of you, remembering you or simply wishing the communities of the world be safe, happy and healthy. Our video for this Blog is a bow-making how-to, what better demo for the season. Over the years Jane and Angela have made “zillions” of bows for customers. It is now Angela’s pleasure to pass on her technique to all of you.

Angela’s Papercrafts

The last official Blog from the desk of Angelas Papercrafts at our store location in Dundas. The store officially closed on Saturday, December 17th, 2011 but of course we will be available during clean-up until the clear-out is completed by the end of January. (Talking of good people, our landlord has literally given us the month of January for a leisurely cleanout. Of course Frank Butty and his children, Liz and Dan, have only ever given us a handshake for a contract, no formal lease. How about that for a trusting relationship over several decades.)

We will be receiving e-mails but our toll free number will be shut down at the end of December. You can contact Angela on her Blackberry at 905-537-1451 as it is doubtful we will be in the store to reliably answer the phones until the New Year. Wes will continue to picture frame and the location will change mid-January.

Remember for 2012

Remember, we will be posting the Card Retreats in the New Year and more information on our Bed & Breakfast, Four Oaks B & B.  It will be a great stop-over for travellers from around the world as we will be offering local custom tours of Niagara, the wine country, Toronto, the Mennonite areas of St. Jacobs, Elmira, etc. Love the opportunity to host some of our customers from around the world, several of whom have visited our store over the years when in Canada. The website will open in January for bookings.

What Christmas Greeting would be complete without the presence of our “Greeter”.
